Ben Clark was born at the old Womack hospital at Ft. Liberty (formerly Ft. Bragg) to an Army helicopter pilot and a schoolteacher. A proud Aggie, Ben was in ROTC at NC A&T and commissioned as a 2^nd lieutenant in the USAF. After serving 20 years, he retired as a Lt. Col. and returned to Hoke County. For 20 years, he’s worked at Ft. Liberty, training soldiers on some of the nation’s most sophisticated mission command systems.  He served five terms in the NC Senate, representing Hoke and Cumberland counties. Ben is a common sense Democrat running for Lt. Governor in 2024.
