A lot of people probably are familiar with the term “Man Cave.” Most of the time people confuse the term with a Bachelor’s Pad. Although they might share some similar functions, their purposes and overall designs are two different things.

Often found deep inside urban jungles, bachelor pads rest high above the streets and into high-rise apartments. These units or pads are where a typical young, single, and employed bachelor lives. Bachelor pads are made to cater single guy’s friends for de-stressing.

However, the ultimate purpose of a bachelor’s pad is to attract a potential partner for the guy that lives in the unit. A pad can be fully customizable, with only the owner’s discretion as a limit.

A “Man Cave” however, are for married guys. These men only get a room of their own in a house instead of a whole unit. These rooms are for the hobbies of the man of the house. Everything effeminate is void from this area. Only masculine themed hobbies are ever allowed in and out of the man cave.

To newlywed guys that think man caves are just single vanities and unnecessary, think again. Man caves are the only places where you get to enjoy things by yourself, without the presence of your kids and wives. If guys do think it’s a necessity, then here are some of the most valuable items to put inside the perfect man cave.

A very Large Flat Screen TV

What better way for guys to enjoy a night of NBA hoops or NFL action than to see it live on a big TV set. Without this essential component, a man cave cannot be a man cave. Almost everything that has to do with entertainment is on the TV. Not having such a set inside a man cave is just wrong. Movie nights will never be the same with a quality TV set inside.

Entertainment System

Whether it’s a PlayStation console or a karaoke machine, an entertainment system is another valuable asset in calling a man cave, “perfect.”

Couches and Tables

Of course, couches and tables should also become a priority when setting up a man cave. Hanging out and other activities demand furniture. Excellent modular lounges will do the trick for these activities.

Avoid glass tables that could shatter during rowdy behavior. Instead, opt for wooden or hard plastic tables that will suit the man cave’s theme.

Medium sized fridge

What’s more annoying than a buzzer beater from Kyrie Irving, live on television? It’s the daunting task of having to get food and drinks from the kitchen, outside the comfort of the man cave. Ideally, a medium sized fridge is good for stocking up drinks, snacks, and other simple meals for your consumption.

Small refrigerators can manage to suffice your stomach; the important thing is that there is one lying around the room.

Hobby Site

A good spot in the corner of a man cave should go towards the hobbies and interests of the man. Sports memorabilia, concert posters, collector’s edition game items, or just about anything can go in that particular corner.

Activity Spot

A man cave should never run out of entertainment. A good way to do this is by placing a pool table or ping-pong table inside the room. No matter what the interest, there should always be a backup for doing fun stuff.
