Thursday, September 8 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Start your weekend early with some live music. The Tracks Music Fest is back and kicking off this Thursday, September 8th. The concert is free and will be outdoors at the Rosemary and Columbia St. Parking Lot. This week’s show will feature rap artist Godric, experimental folk band Magic Tuber String Band, and dance and electronic artist VSPRTN. Each show will be hosted by 97.9 The Hill’s own Aaron Keck! Join the Chamber, Work Together NC, and Extraordinary Ventures for the Inclusive Employment Summit. The first in a three part series, this summit will teach our community about the value of inclusive hiring processes and gain practical resources in hiring people with ID/DID (Intellectual and developmental disabilities). Hey, parents, are you looking for a night out? Drop your kids off at Kidzu Children’s Museum for a night of exhibit play and exploration! Staff will lead the kids through lots of fun activities that will exercise your kid’s minds, bodies, and imaginations. Dinner will be provided from Alfredo’s Pizza Villa. Come out to Chapel Hill Public Library for the return of Family Fun Fridays. It will be a fun night of music, games, and food. Triangle Afrobeat Orchestra will be playing their fun, danceable music for everyone. Bring your own food or get food from the food trucks that will be on hand and enjoy a picnic. Saturday, September 10 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Tune in September 10 for all the coverage and analysis you could need ahead of the Tar Heel’s third game of the season against Georgia State. Coverage will start at 9:00 ahead of kickoff at 12:00 p.m. After the game, tune in to the wrap up analysis, coverage will last until 4:30 p..m. For more information, click here.

A new indoor adventure park is opening in the area! OC Aerial is throwing a grand opening on Saturday, September 10th. Join the Unity Center of Peace for their Full Moon Fire Ceremony. The full moon of September is the Harvest Moon. The event will begin on the front porch of UCP for a short word from Rev. Chris Geith and will follow with a walk in silence to UCP’s Kirtan spot in the forest. Bring a blanket, a  chair, or a water bottle, whatever you need for your comfort.
