Start your weekend early with a movie night under the stars. For the next four Thursday nights, The Forest Theater will show a movie beginning at sundown under the stars and trees. Are you a history lover? Take a stroll down the historic Churton Street in Hillsborough. On Saturday, July 23, take a 4 block walk with a tour guide and learn about key figures and events that helped shape North Carolina and the country. Do you love tomatoes? On Saturday, July 23 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Burwell School will host a tomato picnic and tasting. Enjoy music from a DJ and take part in an auction, while you all kinds of tomato meals and drinks. Lunch tickets are $30 and are limited so hurry and get yours! For more information, click here.

Hey parents, enjoy a night out while your kids have fun at Kidzu Children’s Museum. Saturday, July 23 from 5:30 p.m.  to 9:00 p.m. your kids will have a great time exploring and playing in Kidzu’s exhibits. Dinner will be provided from Alfredo’s Pizza Villa. Support and enjoy the creativity of local artists this weekend from July 21 – July 24! The Hillsborough Gallery of Arts will feature pottery by Garry Childs, North Carolina landscapes by Pat Merriman, and collages by Nancy Smith. The gallery will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The gallery features a variety of styles that you are sure to love.
