Thursday, September 22 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Start your weekend early with some live music. The Tracks Music Fest is back for its final week, September 22nd. The concert is free and will be outdoors at the Rosemary and Columbia St. Parking Lot. This week’s show will feature punk artist Bangzz, dance and electronic artist JStory, and hip hop artist Luren Grotto. Each show will be hosted by 97.9 The Hill’s own Aaron Keck! Friday, September 23 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

This Friday, come to The Plant for Audio Under the Stars. This event will feature several audio stories about the human experience, including stories of resilience in reflection of the pandemic. Food and drink will be available on site so bring a blanket or a chair and settle in to hear recollections of the human experience. Click here for more information.

Friday, September 23 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Kick off your weekend with some music for a good cause this Friday. Activist duo Emma’s Revolution will be playing at the Community Church of Chapel Hill, Unitarian Universalist. The duo have been using their platform to sing about critical issues happening in the world for 20 years now. All proceeds will go to the Immigrant, which helps to assist asylum seekers. Friday, September 23 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Enjoy some more music to start your weekend right! The Soul Rebels, a jazz funk band, will be playing at Memorial Hall with special guest Bill Freedia. Saturday, September 25, all day

Hey parents! Kidzu is having a new exhibit your children will love! The Questioneers is a traveling exhibit that gives your kids a chance to learn from Questioneers characters such as Ada Twist, the scientist, engineer Rosie Revere, illustrator Aaron Slater, and more. Saturday, September 24 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Are you a plant lover? NC Botanical Garden is having their fall plant sale this Saturday. Now is the perfect time to buy and restart your work on your home garden because it allows the plants to grow their root system ahead of growing season. Botanical Garden members will get a 10% discount and early access to the sale. No advanced registration is required and no timed entry is necessary for the Saturday sale. Tar Heel fans, come out to Henderson Street this Saturday for a downtown tailgate ahead of UNC’s game against Notre Dame. The tailgate party will feature music from DJ CJ and emcee BDaht, raffle giveaways, and games. While you’re enjoying the tailgate party be sure to tune into our coverage starting at 12:30. We’ll have you covered with the pre-game coverage to get you pumped for the game. Join Kol Haskalah for the celebration of the new year.
