If you’re ready for Halloween, you can start the festivities as early as this weekend! Come out to Spring Haven Farm and carve a pumpkin with goats! The farm has been transformed into a true Halloween fantasyland to get you in the spirit. As well as carving pumpkins, you can take a tractor ride, roast s’mores, and attempt to find gems in the mining sluice. Spring Haven Farm will be offering the pumpkin carving from now until October 31st so you’ll have plenty of time. For more information on the pumpkin carving, click here.

The UNC Adams School of Dentistry student organization Miles for Smiles will be holding their 14th annual Cleft Palate Gallop 5K run and fun walk. Come out and spend a day learning about wildlife. Come out to the Piedmont Wildlife Center and learn about the animals that call it home. Come out and support another fantastic cause this weekend with the Full Court Press for Sickle Cell. The UNC Sickle Cell program will be holding a knockout basketball tournament at the UNC Practice Courts. There will be a free throw competition, activities for children, and more!
