Thursday, October 27 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Start the Halloween and weekend festivities early with La Vita Dolce’s 8th annual Paint A Pumpkin. Pumpkins, paints, and brushes will all be provided. No reservation or tickets are needed so come out and enjoy some seasonal treats like pumpkin pie gelato, an Apple Chai Latte, and more as you paint pumpkins. For more information, click here.

Built Story is offering another day of local Halloween tours. Download the Built Story app and go on self-guided tours including Durham’s most terrifying and mysterious ghosts, murders, and legends tour, Halloween homes in South Durham, and more. Friday, October 28 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Come out to the Carrboro Town Commons Friday for their Halloween Carnival. There will be lots of carnival games for the whole family with rewards of great gift packs for the children’s participation. Friday, October 28 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Come out for the Making a Miracle Invitational. Help raise money for the Miracle League of the Triangle as they build the Durham Bulls Miracle Park adjacent to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. This field will help bring baseball to the unique needs population of the Triangle. The fun begins on Friday at Durham Athletic Park with a 13u and a 14 u game, and at Parkwood Field with an 11u game and 12u game. On Friday, the Alliance for Historic Hillsborough will be holding the annual Haunted Tour. Encounter ghostly residents along the historic district of Hillsborough and learn more about Hillsborough’s past in this hour-long tour. The ghost stories are family friendly. Friday, October 28 7:00 p.m.

If you haven’t yet been to Basecamp on Franklin Street, now is the perfect time! They will be hosting a multicultural Halloween party you won’t want to miss. The party will include traditions from various cultures, including Dia De Los Muertos of Mexico, English Celtic festival traditions, Northern French, Irish, and more. Support The ArtCenters new building Capital Campaign at the premier of The Fog. The film was shot on location and is by two of our community’s leading filmmakers. The movie follows the tale of a fictional theater company in San Francisco in the mid 70’s through the highs and lows and ascension. Saturday, October 29 5:00 p.m. – Sunday, October 30 12:30 p.m.

The Tar Heels are back in action this Saturday looking for their 7th win of the season against ACC opponent Pittsburgh. Tune into our coverage beginning at 5:00 with Inside Carolina then the Tar Heel Sports Network Pre-Game show. Kickoff is at 8:00 and we’ll have all the action for you followed by post-game analysis from the Tar Heel Sports Network. Click here to stream!

Come out to Franklin Street on Saturday night to enjoy all that downtown Chapel Hill has to offer, including live music! This Saturday’s lineup includes C. Albert Blomquist at Epilogue, The Simple Joy at The Purple Bowl, Angela & Will at Talulla’s, Ali Alrabeah at Medici’s, and special gameday performer DJ Shizz at Peace and Justice Plaza. The Halloween celebrations continue in Carrboro as the Carrboro Town Commons hosts a Halloween movie night! Bring a blanket and your family or friends to watch Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride! The movie will start at 7 and the movie night is free for all to enjoy. For more information, click here.

Sunday, October 30 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Join Camellia Forest Tea Gardens as they celebrate the end of the 2022 Tea Harvest. This event will feature tours of the tea gardens, fresh tea sampling, and more. Sunday, October 30 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The American Legion Post 6 will be hosting a Fall Festival this Sunday. The Fall Festival will be lots of fun for the whole family with mini-donkey petting, a kids bounce house, hayrides, a pumpkin painting contest, and much more! Sunday, October 30 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Join Botanist and Barrel on Sunday for a Cheese and Cider Pairing with The Cheese Shop. The Cheese Shop’s founder will be on hand to guide guests through a selection of 5 cheeses that pair wonderfully with different ciders. Botanist and Barrel will have an employee on hand to guide guests through the ciders as well. Event is limited to 30 guests so make sure you get there early. Sunday, October 30 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Learn more about the history of our town with Heart of the Hill tours. This Sunday they will be holding a walking tour of trees. UNC’s arborist will be leading the tour and telling participants about the history and caretaking of heritage trees around town and on campus. Sunday, October 30 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Enjoy some live music this weekend with the School of Rock Chapel Hill’s Mid-Season Show and Halloween Spooktacular. The show will begin at 1 with a Rolling Stone feature-Exile on Main and finish with a Madonna vs. Lady Gaga set. A variety of genres will be represented by the School of Rock Chapel Hill’s house band with features also on My Chemical Romance and Peter Gabriel. Event is free, but a $10 donation is encouraged. Continue the Halloween celebrations with the Town of Chapel Hill’s Haunted Hill Trunk or Treat and Outdoor Movie. Bring the family and your costumes for trunk or treat, a haunted walk, some scary fun activities, and ghost stories before settling down to watch Happy Halloween Scooby Doo.
