Come out this weekend to support a good cause. The Orange County Social Club is holding the 6th Annual (ish) Go With the Flow Menstrual Product Drive. They will be collecting Menstrual products to give to those in our community who need them. Enjoy some specialty cocktails and a special period-themed playlist. If you’re ready for Halloween, you can start the festivities as early as this weekend! Come out to Spring Haven Farm and carve a pumpkin with goats! The farm has been transformed into a true Halloween fantasyland to get you in the spirit. As well as carving pumpkins, you can take a tractor ride, roast s’mores, and attempt to find gems in the mining sluice. This Friday, Innovate Carolina Junction will be beginning their Signature Series. Hear more about the designing of modern workplaces through hybrid collaborations. The speakers will be John Hughes, principal of Workplace Strategy Consulting of Steelcase; Liz Chen, Public Health Researcher and Design Thinking Expert at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health; and Nimisha Patel, Program Manager at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. The Tar Heels are back in action this weekend looking for their 6th win of the season against Miami. Our coverage starts with Inside Carolina Live at 4:30 and continues with Tar Heel Sports Network Pregame Show starting at 6:30. Kickoff is at 7:30 and we’ll have all the action for you on 97.9 The Hill. Coverage will end with Tar Heel Sports Network Post-Game show directly after the game ends. Please note that due to NCAA restrictions, the 75 mile rule applies for the Tar Heel Sports Network Shows and the game.
