Thursday, November 10 6:00 p.m.

Start the weekend festivities off early this week with the Life Skills Live Benefit concert Thursday. The benefit concert will feature award-winning artist Petey Pablo and begin with the NCCU Sound Machine Drumline. Friday, November 11 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Enjoy some more art at the North Carolina Veteran Art Show at Tobacco Wood Brewing Company. All art showcased will be original pieces created by North Carolina veterans of the armed forces. The art will be of all levels and by varying levels of service in the forces. The exhibit will run from November 10th through the 13th with a meet the artist reception on November 11 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. For more information, click here.

Friday, November 11 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Come out to downtown Chapel Hill and enjoy all it has to offer while checking out some live local bands! Friday’s lineup includes Smith and Lang, The Snarks, and Michael Daughtry. Click here for more information. 

Saturday, November 12 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

This Saturday at the Friday Center, join the Carolinas Youth Mentoring Symposium. The symposium will cover a variety of topics, such as identity-affirming mentoring relationships, interactive activities that will allow guests to learn tools they can take with them to work, and more. There’s another chance to view some art this weekend with the Durham County Pottery Tour. You’ll be able to tour various studios around Durham, take in the growing pottery scene, and meet the artists. For more information about the Pottery Tours, click here.

Saturday, November 12 4:30 p.m. – Sunday, November 13 12:00 a.m.

Don’t miss any of the action as Carolina football aims for their 9th win as they take on Wake Forest. Coverage starts at 4:30 with Inside Carolina Live, followed by the Tar Heel pre-game show an hour before kickoff. Kickoff will be at 7:30 and we’ll have all the action for you. Red Bird Theater will be launching their inaugural season with A Doll House Part 2, a sequel to the Henrik Ibsens classic. Enjoy Nora’s quest for resolution. Saturday, November 12 8:15 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Come out for Saturday Night Fervor at Lanza’s Cafe! Duo Paul and Ian of Total Spontaneity Theater will be putting on 3 one-act plays of their own creation. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll learn. Sunday, November 13 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Bring an item and take part in a community picnic. Chapel Hill Community Arts and Culture have partnered with PORCH and the Inter-Faith Council for the Thanks + Giving Food Truck Rodeo. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and spread out on the lawn and enjoy some great food from a variety of food trucks. When you’re done eating, you can enjoy some lawn games that will be set up. Sunday, November 13 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Holiday Bazaar is back this week at Carrboro Town Commons. Shop homemade crafts and creations, the perfect gifts for the Holidays (!)  by 30 local artists. Get fairy hair and body art and your own Tarot reading. Follow the fun by enjoying some great food and drink by a variety of food trucks, including Ta Contento, Yee Haw Doughnuts, and Craftboro Brewing Depot. Sunday, November 13 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The School of Rock Chapel Hill welcomes in the house bands from Schools of Rock Wake Forest, Wilmington, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake VA for their Fall Tour at Local 506. The concert will be epic with a variety of musical genres on display. Click here for more information.

Sunday, November 13 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Heart of the Hill will be having their final tour of the season this Sunday, centering around the history of women at UNC-Chapel Hill.
