If you’re a photographer, the Department of Environment, Agriculture, and Parks are holding a photography contest. Explore Orange County and take pictures of the beautiful nature we have around us. The theme for this year is “Flora and Pollinators.” They will be accepting submissions through May 31st. For more information about the contest, click here.

Piedmont Wildlife is holding a walking tour to teach you about birds of prey that inhabit PWC. After the walking tour, you’ll get the chance to meet with one of PWC’s owls. Click here for more information.

Celebrate Easter this weekend with goats at Spring Haven Farm. They will be holding an easter egg every hour on the hour and once the kids have collected all the eggs, you’ll be able to pet and spend some time with baby goats. For more information, click here.

The Hillsborough Gallery of Arts new exhibition opened this week, titled Earth Elements, including pottery vessels by Garry Childs, collage paintings by Nancy Smith, and glass art by Mark Kinsella. This Saturday, the ArtCenter is hosting The Last Draft Comedy Showcase. It’s a variety comedy hour with a focus on stand-up comics. The lineup includes some local comedians. Click here to see the lineup.

The Town of Carrboro is inviting kids ages 11-14 for an easter egg hunt in the dark. Bring a flashlight and start the search to collect as many eggs as you can. There will be golden eggs hidden amongst the others for special prizes. Registration is not required, but participants must bring their own flashlight and basket. For more information, click here.

Come out to The Plant in Pittsboro this weekend to celebrate Easter. Enjoy some delicious food and drink, dye eggs, and do The Plant wide scavenger hunt for the chance to win a free small ice cream. For more information, click here.
