This weekend, the Chapel Hill Public Library is holding their Friends of the Library Big Book Sale. Shop thousands of books and puzzles at great prices. Everyone is sure to find something they’ll love. The sale opens Friday for members only and continues Saturday and Sunday with a $10 bag sale on Sunday. Saturday, March 25 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

The 2nd annual Running With the Angels 5K Run/Walk is this Saturday at East Chapel Hill. All are welcome to sign up to run or volunteer. If you love knitting and yarn, Knitworthy yarn is having a pop-up sale. The online yarn based in Chapel Hill will be at Perch Coworking with a stand and ready to answer any and all of your knitting and yarn questions. Join the Alliance for Historic Hillsborough this weekend for Revolutionary War Living History Day. Experience our local history of the Revolutionary War with live reenactors, historic tours, interactive activities, and more at the Historic Visitors Center. Binkley Baptist Church will be holding their monthly Black Lives Matter Vigil. Join members of our community to remember and honor victims of police brutality. There’s another chance to enjoy some live music this weekend at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Baroque and Beyond will be having their final concert of the season this weekend playing 17th Century instrumental music with works by Biagia Marini, Heinrich Ignaz Biber, and more. North Carolina Humanities is continuing their statewide book club this weekend with books about various topics in our community. This weekend over Zoom, 97.9 The Hill and Chapelboro.com’s own Art Chansky will be discussing themes from his book Game Changers: Dean Smith, Charlie Scott, and the Era That Transformed a Southern College Town.
