Bring your kids to Kidzu Children’s Museum and let them explore their creativity with Kidzu’s wood-working workshop for beginners. Kids will be able to choose from book ends, flower boxes, and napkin holders, or come up with their own projects to build out of wood. For more information, click here.

The Skylight Gallery in Hillsborough will be showing a photography show by Anne C. Gardner, a local photographer. Her photographs explore every landscape from rural to urban of Orange County, including grain silos, graffiti, and more. The opening reception is this Friday as part of Hillsborough’s Last Friday Art Walk, but the show will be on display until July 23rd. Click here for more information.

Also as part of Hillsborough’s Last Friday Art Walk, Hillsborough Gallery of Arts will be holding the opening reception for From Earth To Sky. Within this showing, there will be pottery vessels by Garry Childs, fine furniture by Pete Rodrigues, and collage paintings by Nancy Smith. These works will be on display until July 23rd. Saturday, July 1 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Slow down this weekend at RambleRill farm. Local market vendors will be on hand selling goods while you take a walk around nature, and of course, visit with the animals at the farm. The EnoFest is back this weekend starting Saturday and continuing on the 4th of July. Come out and enjoy some live music, a craft show, and fun on the river. Food will be available to buy. For more information on the EnoFest, click here.

Come out to the newly renovated Lumina Theater for Movies on the Green. Throughout the summer, Lumina will be airing many classic movies, including some family friendly choices. This week, watch the classic thriller Jaws. All seats are $8.23. To get your tickets, click here.

The Ballet School of Chapel Hill will be holding a Rhythmic Arts Conference. The workshop will bring together percussive musicians and dancers into one space. Drop a line at West Point Mill this weekend. They’ll have cane fishing poles for you to check out for the afternoon while you step away from the hustle bustle at West Point on the Eno. Enjoy nature and some old-fashioned fishing this weekend.
