Local author Kerry Fryar Freeman will be at Golden Fig Books in Carrboro. She will be reading and answering questions about her newest book “Sedona.” The story follows Cal Novak, who leaves city life behind and starts life anew in Sedona. Click here for more information.

Come out to Spring Haven Farm this weekend and enjoy some s’mores with goats. You’ll be able to feed the animals like Lola the Pig, goats of course, and cozy up by the fire while toasting some marshmallows and enjoying some s’mores. Click here for more information.

Bring the kids to Lincoln Center for Highlanders Rugby’s free clinic. The clinics will introduce the sport and start kids off with the basics. For more information, click here.

Join members of our community to stand and honor the victims of police brutality with Binkley Baptist Church’s Black Lives Matter Vigil. There are no speakers, it’s an opportunity for our community to stand together for justice. Click here for more information.

Plan your year and what you hope to achieve this weekend at the Unity Center of Peace. They will be holding a vision board workshop. All supplies will be provided, but you are more than welcome to bring any images you know you’d like to include. Bring the kids to Kidzu this weekend for the Frozen Family Bash. The kids can spend a night in Arendelle, participating in Frozen themed STEM activities. Costumes are encouraged and there will be a photo booth as well as dinner provided. For more information, click here.

Sunday, January 28 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Come out to the Planetarium this weekend to hear the tale of ‘The Longest Night.’ It’s a fulldome experience that explores the idea that winter is Earth’s time to reset ahead of new growth in the spring. Click here for more information.
