While Last Fridays in downtown Hillsborough aren’t quite back in full swing yet, the Art Walk is happening this Friday. select venues will be offering monthly openings and music as another way to stay connected in the community throughout the winter. Saturday, February 25 12;00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Join members of our community and honor the victims of police brutality at Binkley Baptists monthly Black Lives Matter Vigil. The vigil will be followed by a free lunch reception and this month, the Binkley Baptist community extends a special invite to college and university communities. Saturday, February 25 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Come meet your new best friend this Saturday at Hollywood Feed. Beautiful Together will be bringing some of their beautiful dogs for you to meet in an adoption special. For the cat lovers, Beautiful Together’s cat director will be on-hand to answer any questions you may have so you can adopt one of their wonderful cats. Saturday, February 25 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

This Saturday night enjoy a night of live bluegrass music at Community Church. Contemporary bluegrass and roots band The Special Consensus will be playing starting at 8. They’ve played stages such as The Grand Ole Opry so you won’t want to miss seeing them. Get your tickets here.

Sunday, February 26 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

To celebrate Black History Month, Triangle Bikework’s has organized a Black History Month Bike Ride. The 5 mile ride through Chapel Hill and Carrboro is designed to specifically visit various points of historical importance and interest. Check out some live music this weekend with School of Rock’s mid-season preview show! Their performance program students will be performing a setlist featuring various different genres and artists, such as Metallica, Pink Floyd, ABBA, and a set of Piano People. Sunday, February 26 2:00 p.m.

This Sunday, the Hillsborough classic arts society will be showing Top Hat starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
