Fridays on the Front Porch continues at The Carolina Inn this weekend. Sip on some cocktails or North Carolina beer and enjoy some food from a food truck, while taking in a different artist each week. This week, Spring Lane will be performing. Come out to Spring Haven Farm this weekend to watch a movie with the goats. Friday night is date night where Spring Haven will play a different rom-com each week. Then on Saturday night, they’ll play a G or PG movie great for the whole family. Bring your own blanket and food and enjoy a movie while giving a goat a head scratch. Chelsea Classics is back this summer with a showing of Douglas Sirk’s The Tarnished Angels at 4 on Saturday. It follows the story of a journalist fascinated by the lives of three professional stunt fliers. Then on Sunday, Douglas Sirk’s Imitation of Life will be playing. Come out to Dingo Dog Brewing this Saturday and get your creative juices flowing. Artist Sleepy Shipman will lead you through some stress free art creations. For more information, click here.

Come out to the newly renovated Lumina Theater for Movies on the Green. Throughout the summer, Lumina will be airing many classic movies, including some family friendly choices. This week, they will be showing the classic, Grease. Click here to get your tickets.

Enjoy the outdoors with a guided tour of the West Point on the Eno’s historic grounds and buildings. During your tour, you’ll hear stories about the people who lived and worked there. For more information about the tours, click here.

Sunday, August 20 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Come out this Sunday to the Westend Back To School Bazaar in the parking lot between Cat Tales Cat Cafe and Lantern. Local vendors will be on site selling their handmade goods. Take a seat and get fairy hair or face paint. Once you’re done shopping, enjoy food and drink from any of the many surrounding restaurants, cafes, and bars. Sunday, August 20 3:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

This Sunday, enjoy a day of music and dance. Souleymane Solo Sana, Living Arts Collective, and Africa Unplugged will be holding a day full of dance workshops in traditional Malian dance for kids and adults.
