40-year-old Twinkie

A Twinkie sits in a glass box in a science classroom of a private school in Maine.  It’s a 40-year-old Twinkie.

The delicious treat has stayed in a glass box since 1976.  Roger Bennatti was teaching a chemistry lesson about food additives and shelf life.  A student asked about a Twinkie’s shelf life.  That started this whole thing.

Sing Happy Birthday

For years, Warner/Chappell Music collected royalties on the “Happy Birthday to You” song.  But, now a judge has approved a settlement that puts the song in the public domain.  The settlement means the company will have to pay back $14 million to people who have previously paid licensing fees for the the song.

A Wife For My Song

A 48-year-old man is receiving inquiries from an ad that was placed in an Idaho newspaper by his father.

His father wants a grand child to carry on the family name.  So, he placed the ad to solicit possible wives for his son.
