Welcome to “Making a Splash” with Goldfish Swim School of Chapel Hill!

Every month on 97.9 The Hill, Brighton McConnell will be joined by a member of the Goldfish team for a conversation about building confidence in kids, in and out of the pool. For the very first edition of “Making a Splash” owner Danelle Alex joined stopped by for a chat.

Fun Fact: There’s a swimming pool hiding inside Ram’s Plaza! Not just any swimming pool, but the happiest, most fun environment for kids to learn how to swim. According Goldfish’s owner, Danelle Alex, “Goldfish Swim School is everything that we wish that we could have had to learn to swim when we were kids.” It is bright, colorful, full of floral print and even surf boards. As Danelle says, “It’s really hard to be unhappy in our school!”

Goldfish Swim School wasn’t thoughtfully created just for swim lessons; everything they do is also done with the intention of building confidence in kids. Saying they “celebrate everything” Danelle shared they are constantly cheering swimmers on, high-fiving, giving elbow bumps, and awarding ribbons and prizes whenever they can.
