It’s time for another round of Studio Sessions with the School of Rock Chapel Hill, featuring three holiday classics performed by the House Band!
It’s December, so it’s time for one of our favorite traditions: the House Band playing holiday songs! Ripley Florek, JJ Helbert, Cole Ivester, Finn Jackson, Hazen Johnson, and Phillip Webb join Aaron – for the first time in our brand new studio – to play a trio of Christmas classics and talk about their favorite (and least favorite) carols. School of Rock owner/GM David Joseph and music director Justin Ellis are also on hand to discuss upcoming events – including a big show at Cats Cradle this Sunday, an adult-band showcase at the Cave on Wednesday, and a West Coast tour for the students in 2024.
Listen to their conversation, plus the band’s performances of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” The Kinks’ “Father Christmas,” and John Lennon’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over).”
