It’s time for another round of Studio Sessions with the School of Rock Chapel Hill, featuring three classic songs performed by the House Band!

This month, Aaron welcomes six members of the House Band: Liam Chaires, JJ Helbert, Lachlan McElwee, Kate Stokes, Grant Watson, and Jack Wilson. It’s the first Studio Sessions of 2026, so this time the band members share their musical New Year’s resolutions – from learning new instruments to releasing debut albums.

School of Rock owner/GM David Joseph is also on hand, sharing details about his own plans for 2026 (lots of cleaning!) and plugging a pair of upcoming events – starting with the 2026 BLAST OFF! show at Local 506 this Sunday, January 18, from 1-4 p.m. (Summer camps are also just around the corner, so it’s time to start signing your kids up.)

Listen to their conversation, plus the band’s performances of Anderson.Paak’s “Put Me Thru,” Flobots’ “Same Thing,” and the Alien Ant Farm version of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal.”
