With a new album in the works and a show next month in Orange County, Jesse Fox stopped by Live and Local this week along with Steven Raets of Sonark Media.
The longtime front man of Love & Valor, Jesse Fox has been a rising star in the Triangle music scene for a decade. His single “Stop This Train” recently topped 97.9 The Hill’s list of the top 97 songs of the year.
Now, he’s wrapping up production on a new (still untitled) album, his first as a solo artist, which is set to drop this spring. Fox recorded the album at Sonark, a state-of-the-art new studio located between Chapel Hill and Hillsborough on a 63-acre farm – and he’ll be playing his new material at a show there next month.
“Jesse Fox – Live from the Barn” will take place in Sonark’s performance space on Friday, February 2, livestreamed on Sonark’s PieTV app and recorded for an airing on PBS later this year.
Jesse Fox stopped by Live and Local, along with Sonark CEO Steven Raets, to discuss the album, the show, and the Sonark studio. Listen:
