With a new album due out Thursday and an album-release show that evening at the Pinhook, Waldo Witt joined Aaron this week on Live & Local.

The album, “Long Daze, Dark Nights,” is Witt’s first full-length album since 2019’s “Randall” – so naturally it’s a “pandemic album,” inspired partly by the highs and lows of Waldo’s experience traveling around the country during the early days of COVID-19. The album drops Thursday, February 23, and the band will be playing at the Pinhook that night, starting at 8:00 p.m. (They’ll be joined by two other recent Live & Local guests, Scivic Rivers and Slow Teeth.)

Waldo Wittenmyer, Josh Halpern, Henry Johnson, and Travis Newman stopped by Live & Local to discuss the album and play two songs, “Joke’s On Me” and “Tragicomedy.” Listen:
