The Consequences Of Our Own Actions (TCOOOA) joined Aaron on Live & Local this week, ahead of the Friday release of their new EP “Forgotten But Not Dead.”

With a name originally inspired by an Internet meme, TCOOOA – pronounced “tee-coo-uh,” if you’re going with the short version – formed in 2019 when James Yow and Bryce Hart met over Craigslist and started performing together. (Not only did they click musically, they also discovered they were neighbors as well.)

Eventually the pair recruited James’ wife, singer/songwriter Kristi Dixon Yow, as the band’s third member and bassist. She says she joined reluctantly, as she’s not a fan of performing live – but she’s now one of the band’s primary vocalists and songwriters alongside her bass work.

“Forgotten” is the band’s third release in the last two years, following their 2021 debut “Nobody Dances Sober” and their 2022 EP “Get Well Soon.” (A track from that EP made our list of the top 25 local songs of the year.)

The Consequences Of Our Own Actions stopped by 97.9 The Hill studios this week during Live & Local to chat about the album and play three tracks: “Forget How This Feels,” “Forgotten, But Not Dead,” and “No Heart.”
