Fresh off the release of their new EP “The Good Luck Sessions,” the band Nantahala joined Aaron this week on Live & Local.

Produced by FJ Ventre, “The Good Luck Sessions” is the band’s first album under the “Nantahala” name, but they go back much further: it’s been two decades since Mary Johnson Rockers and Miriam Chicurel-Bayard first met at an open mic and began singing together. They performed for years as Mary Johnson Rockers and the Spark before deciding on a name that better reflected their mountain roots – and their identity as a band.

Mary Johnson Rockers, Miriam Chicurel-Bayard, Robert Cantrell, Ian Leinbaugh, and John Gillespie joined Aaron to discuss the album and play three songs, “Melody,” “Snow Globe,” and “Black Balsam.” Listen now:
