With a new album out this week and an album-release show Thursday at the Pinhook, Mellow Swells joined Aaron this week on Live & Local.

Standing at the intersection of funk and jazz, “Arms” is Mellow Swells’ first full-length album and their first release since their self-titled debut EP in 2020. In between, the guys has developed a reputation as one of the area’s most dynamic live bands (including a memorable headlining show at last year’s EnoFest). They’ll bring that reputation to the Pinhook stage on Thursday evening; opening will be another popular Triangle band, Niito.
