With a show Tuesday night at the Pinhook, local musician Earleine joined Aaron on Live & Local this week – along with the Virginia-based band Palmyra, with whom she’s sharing the bill.

Earleine and the three bandmates in Palmyra haven’t known each other for long, but they’ve become fast friends. Palmyra’s having a banner year: fresh off the release of their new album “Shenandoah,” their summer tour has included stops at the Newport Folk Festival and FloydFest in Virginia, where they won the festival’s On the Rise award. Earleine, meanwhile, has had a busy summer of her own, with shows at Cats Cradle as well as the Pinhook, and upcoming performances in September at Hopscotch and the North Carolina Art Museum.

Earleine and Palymra stopped by Live & Local to discuss the Pinhook show, their friendship, and their upcoming projects (“five to ten years away”). They also played three songs: one by Earleine and two by Palymra, including one off the “Shenandoah” album.
