This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Bill Melega!
In the fine tradition of history teachers at Chapel Hill High School, Melega is outstanding and he’s so much more than a history teacher. Right now, he’s conducting a series of lectures for the benefit of SKJAJA and his main topic will be World War II.
“If you know someone [who served in World War II], if you’ve never been, come see what we do at the high school and in the local community,” Melega said. “I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.”
Melega’s lecture series starts this week and continues on Thursday nights. Tickets are $20 at the door to benefit the SKJAJA fund.
