This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Michelle Dunevant.
After a 30 year career in criminal justice, including the last 27 at the Orange County DA, Dunevant is retiring. Dunevant has spent the last 10 years as the administrative assistant at the Orange County DA, being described as the “engine that keeps the office running.” Among her many tasks, Dunevant prepares the indictments, sets up the grand juries, and so much more. On top of all the vital work that goes into the cases the DA’s office undertakes, Dunevant is a very warm person who is very good at keeping the harmony in a very important job.
