This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Jason Johnson.

Johnson is the principal of Orange High School in Hillsborough. He’s been an educator for 27 years, including two stints at Orange High School. Johnson was recently named North Carolina’s principal of the year. He helped usher Orange High School back into the classroom after COVID-19 pandemic and worked hard with students and parents to get student performance back up to speed. Johnson gets to know his students as individuals to learn how best to support them and help them thrive.
