This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Cheryl Chamblee.
Chamblee is the executive director of Chatham Arts. She was on with us recently to discuss the 10th anniversary of Artists in Schools. Artists in Schools is a program that brings artists into local schools to work with teachers and students around core curricula. They started with 2 schools and are now up to 14 schools, including every elementary and middle school in the district.
