Exploring Your Creative Genius: Episode 81

The last two episodes have shared animal stories that in most cases I experienced while living on our 6 acre ‘farmette’ in South Durham County for nearly 20 years.

Humans need to be in close association with animals, I’m convinced, for they bring so much to our lives.

There’s Confidence that occurs when you have gentled an animal and with your care you see it thriving, flourishing, growing into its best self.

Playfulness, of course. Animals love to play and I can watch that happen for hours. And I love to play with them, they bring our playful approaches to life to the surface.

Focus, yes, we have to be attentive, aware, and focused on what is happening for the protection of animals under our care, and for our protection when you are caring for large animals.

And Love. Animals have wonderful capacity to absorb our love, and wow, they are so good and returning that love, mindfully.

Isn’t it clear, that what we care for cares for us? Going down to the barn at the end of a long day to bring peace and settle the critters for the night brought me to the place I wanted to be much better than an end of day martini every could.

I enjoy hearing from folks who want to talk creativity… or if you know someone who would be a great guest for the show, reach out at carl@creativepopulist.com
