Exploring Your Creative Genius: Episode 94
Last week’s show was filled with tips and behaviors to help you get into your most creative and entrepreneurial state. Some are as simple as can be, like take a walk to integrate the two hemispheres of your brain.
Others were a bit more demanding, but fun, like the 30 Day Creative Action Program where once a day you either do something you’ve never done before, or something you do habitually in a whole new fashion. There are tips on how to take this on in the show, and here’s a few more.
Have family or friends do a 30 Day CAP with you. Come up with tasks for each other. Talk after a couple of days about what you are doing.
Some behaviors others have done to prompt your thinking of what you might do:
- After checking the course, finish your walk backwards.
- When you step out the door give the first object you see a new name.
- Take a digital day off.
- Eat dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner.
- Learn the lyrics to a new song.
- Write a poem about the day you hope to have.
- Brush your teeth in the shower.
I love the word whimsy—playfully quaint or fanciful behavior or humor—and urge you to bring your sense of whimsy to your daily choices.
I have found that planning the first three or four days of activities helps you get committed, but then be spontaneous, come up with the behavior inspired by the moment or your plans for the day.

Plus you had fun being intentionally creative.
