I’d like to ask you a question.  I am completely baffled by the desire to consume raw milk.  It can potentially contain listeria as well as salmonella, e coli, and tuberculous among other things.

Some advocates say raw milk is “healthier than pasteurized milk.”

Okay.  Putting aside the listeria, salmonella, tuberculous thing, which is hard for me to do, I’ve not seen one well done study supporting the claims that raw milk is better for you.

I’ve seen a ton of studies that show that raw milk is bad for you, though.  Especially, if you’re pregnant, young, old, or immune compromised.

I also don’t totally understand why we need any laws about raw milk, either allowing or prohibiting the sale of it.  To me, that’s like saying we need a law prohibiting people from eating rotten meat.

Unfortunately, people get their information from the internet these days.  The internet says raw milk is healthier than pasteurized milk.  Of course, the internet also says I can lose 20 pounds in a week.  What we really need is a law requiring that everything on the internet be true.
