This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Colleen Minton — the founder and driving force behind Terra Vita.
“It started as sort of an accident when we moved here, but really came out of a love for honoring the chefs who were really interested, and beverage producers, that were really interested in sourcing from farmers and sustainable agriculture,” Minton said.
“I started with that thought in mind and then cultivated the idea for this event and just had a lot of great chefs and beverage cruisers that were willing to step up and help with part of it.”

The finale of Terra Vita will take place on October 19 from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. at the Southern Village Green in Chapel Hill.
