Not made-up news, not dis-information or mis-information, but rather “news” sites with AI-generated stories, which get almost no human readers but thousands of bot-generated clicks, all designed solely to generate advertising revenue. (How much advertising revenue? Apparently this phony industry gets 13 billion dollars a year from real companies.)
