Trending today: a David-and-Goliath battle (or something like that) between Oreo and Hydrox for grocery store cookie supremacy. Oreo controls about half of the $9 billion packaged cookie industry, but Hydrox is raising antitrust concerns – alleging that Oreo “intimidates” grocery stores into giving them favorable placement on shelves. (Which is basically the plot of the film “Wonka,” come to think of it.) Also, Victor comes up with the Best Metaphor Ever.
