Trending today: Victor and Aaron fight “presenteeism,” or the pressure we feel at work to show our bosses that we’re overly dedicated to our jobs. (This includes conspicuously working extra-long hours, even when it’s not necessary.) It’s the opposite of “quiet quitting,” in other words; it’s just as common, and way more insidious. And it’s even creeping into our work-from-home culture: contrary to the (false) belief that people do less work from home, a new study is finding people going out of their way to schedule more meetings than ever and sit by their computers for hours longer than they have to, just to ‘prove’ that they’re working hard. Fight back, comrades!
