Tom and Aaron discuss a new PPP survey showing independent voters turning strongly against Donald Trump: only 29 percent approve of his job performance, against 63 percent who disapprove. (What’s up with that other 8 percent?) Tom says that bodes well for Democrats in the 2026 midterm: they currently lead Republicans by 7 points in a generic head-to-head matchup, which has historically translated into a big wave election in the past.
