Kelly arrives on the heels of an eight-hour city council meeting, where town officials approved a giant Buc-ee’s gas station along the interstate. She discusses the details of the plan and what Buc-ee’s did to accommodate residents’ concerns and objections. Also: a salute to the longtime owners of Martinho’s, who are headed into retirement (though the restaurant isn’t going anywhere); the city moves to expand its water resource recovery facility; and Mebane celebrates its auto-racing history.
