David Glenn joins Aaron to discuss the future of the ACC, in the wake of Florida State’s lawsuit filed in December. FSU is trying to switch conferences, but they’re being held back by a “grant of rights” deal that would impose a $500 million-plus penalty on any school that leaves the ACC. Grant-of-rights deals are legal, but Florida State is arguing that this particular deal is too restrictive for too long of a time. Glenn discusses the legal questions, the likely outcome, the possible scenarios for the conference as a whole and UNC in particular – and whether the ACC’s days are numbered.
