Saturday, February 8, Cats Cradle Back Room will host a benefit show to support a North Carolina musician facing large medical bills. Wilmington’s James Reardon is currently in Colorado, recovering after a hit-and-run incident over Labor Day weekend left him with serious injuries; he’s now stuck – not only with high costs and a long road to recovery, but also literally stuck in Colorado, still needing a medical transport back to his North Carolina home.
Visit the GoFundMe page for James Reardon.
But Reardon has many friends across the North Carolina music scene, who cite him as a major influence in their own lives and musical careers – and a bunch of those friends are coming together and putting on a big show this weekend, to raise some money for the cause. Saturday’s show at the Cradle will include performances from several iconic Chapel Hill-area bands, including the Kingsbury Manx, Erie Choir, Tacoma Park – and Mayflies USA, who are also due to release their first album in over 20 years.
Visit CatsCradle.com to buy tickets and get more information.
Aaron discussed the show with two musicians, Kenneth Stephenson (Kingsbury Manx) and John Harrison (Tacoma Park).
