This Saturday, June 20, you’re invited to stop by TABLE on Main Street in Carrboro for a fundraiser event from 2-6 p.m. to help send two local high schoolers to Chicago for a national STEM and arts competition called ACT-SO, hosted by the NAACP. Enjoy Mexican street food and donate to the cause!
The two students are Skylar Mitchell of Chapel Hill High School and Milagros Lopez Secena of Carrboro High School – and Aaron welcomed Secena to the studio to discuss ACT-SO and read the powerful poem that won the regional competition.
