UNC guards R.J. Davis and Ian Jackson each earned recognition from the ACC on its annual all-conference teams. Davis, the 2023-24 ACC Player of the Year, was the highest vote-getter on this season’s second team, while Jackson was named to the All-Freshman Team.

Davis finished his fifth and final collegiate regular season as UNC’s leading scorer with 17.3 points per game. He is one of only three players in the ACC to finish in the league’s top 10 in both scoring (eighth) and assists (3.8 per game, 10th), and Davis also ranks in the league’s top five in free-throw percentage (88.1, second) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.37, fourth). For his career, Davis’ 2,640 points rank second in UNC history, while his 344 made three-pointers and 86.3 free-throw percentage both rank first.

In his first season as a Tar Heel, Jackson ranked second on the team in scoring (13.3 points per game), made threes (56) and three-point percentage (40.9). He scored in double figures 19 times in 32 games, led the team in scoring 10 times and scored at least 20 points eight times. Jackson ranks fourth among ACC freshmen in scoring and second in three-point percentage. He is the 26th Tar Heel to earn ACC All-Freshman honors.

Davis, Jackson and the rest of the Tar Heels will be back in action Wednesday afternoon in Charlotte when they face either Pittsburgh or Notre Dame in the second round of the ACC Tournament. For a full look at the All-ACC awards, click here.
