UNC running back Omarion Hampton and offensive lineman Willie Lampkin each earned preseason All-ACC nods on Thursday afternoon. Hampton received the third-most votes of any player on the All-ACC team and also placed second in the ACC Player of the Year vote.

A first team All-ACC performer in 2023, Hampton returns to Chapel Hill as a bona fide NFL Draft prospect. He led the ACC in rushing attempts (253), rushing yards (1,504), rushing touchdowns (15), attempts per game (19.46) and yards per game (115.4) as a sophomore, anchoring a powerful Tar Heel offense. His rushing yards and rushing yards per game marks also ranked fifth nationwide.

Lampkin started 11 games in 2023 for Carolina and earned third team All-ACC honors in his first season as a Tar Heel. Behind Lampkin’s blocking, the UNC offense led the ACC in passing yards and total yards per game, placed second in points per game and third in rushing yards per game.
