The second-ranked UNC women’s tennis team made quick work of the Arizona State Sun Devils on Friday in Chicago, rolling to a 4-1 victory in the first round of the ITA National Indoor Tournament.

After claiming the doubles point to begin the match, the Tar Heels (7-0) got singles victories from Sara Daavettila (6-4, 6-1), Elizabeth Scotty (6-0, 6-1) and Makenna Jones (6-0, 6-2) in order to clinch their spot in the tournament quarterfinals.

The Tar Heels will face rival NC State–the tournament’s No. 7 seed–during Saturday’s quarterfinals, with that match set to begin at 1 p.m.
