The second-ranked UNC women’s soccer team opened its season–and its new on-campus stadium–with a bang this past Thursday night, rolling to a dominant 3-0 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers as part of the Carolina Nike Classic.
Bridgette Andrzejewski opened the scoring with a goal in the 13th minute, while Brianna Pinto added the insurance with goals in the 18th and 81st minutes.
UNC (1-0) completely controlled the game, racking up 16 shots compared to only one for the Hoosiers (0-1).
