UNC senior running back Michael Carter was one of four players chosen to this week’s Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll, which highlights the most versatile players in college football.
Carter had 17 carries for 85 rushing yards and a touchdown in the Tar Heels’ win over Duke this past weekend, while also adding three catches for 46 receiving yards and a touchdown. He also returned one kick in the game.
Joining Carter on the Hornung Award honor roll this week was NC State’s Zonovan “Bam” Knight, UL Monroe’s Perry Carter Jr. and Minnesota’s Mohamed Ibrahim.
So far this season, Carter has tallied 733 rushing yards and 174 receiving yards while scoring a combined five touchdowns.
