The NCAA announced Monday UNC earned an at-large bid to the upcoming 2020 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship tournament.

This represents the 27th NCAA Tournament bid in program history.

The Tar Heels (7-4-3) will begin play on Sunday, May 2 against fellow at-large team Charlotte (6-3-1) at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.

North Carolina will host the entirety of the tournament at different locations throughout the state, with the College Cup taking place in Cary as well.

Should UNC get past Charlotte, potential opponents for the next round include No. 4 overall seed Stanford, UNCG or Denver.
