Results of the annual preseason ACC men’s basketball media preseason poll were released on Thursday, with UNC picked to finish second in the league behind Duke.

The Tar Heels received seven of the 69 first place votes available, while the Blue Devils–led by senior Grayson Allen and the nation’s top recruiting class–garnered 57.

Notre Dame (four first-place votes), Miami (one first-place vote) and Louisville rounded out the teams predicted to end up in the top five.

Teams picked to finish in the middle of the conference include sixth-place Virginia, followed by Virginia Tech, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Syracuse.

The five schools at the bottom of the preseason poll are 11th-place Wake Forest, NC State, Clemson, Boston College and Pittsburgh.

Voting was conducted by media members at the ACC’s annual Operation Basketball season kickoff event.
