
UNC announced Monday that it has replaced Old Dominion on its 2020 football schedule with a game against UConn on Saturday, Nov. 7.
The Tar Heels are 3-0 all-time against UConn in football, with those wins coming in 1990, 2008 and 2009.
UNC’s schedule for 2020 is now complete, with the team opening the year with a road game at UCF on either Thursday, Sept. 3 or Friday, Sept. 4.
From there, the Tar Heels head to Atlanta to take on Auburn as part of the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game series on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The home opener will come against James Madison on Saturday, Sept. 19, with the game against UConn representing the Tar Heels’ final non-conference game of the season.
UNC is scheduled to host Georgia Tech, NC State, Pitt and Virginia Tech in conference play, while traveling to face Boston College, Duke, Miami and Virginia.
