The ACC announced Wednesday that UNC sophomore Ryan Burnett is the league’s Golfer of the Month, following an outstanding September that saw him claim his first collegiate title at the Turning Stone Tiger Invitational.

Burnett shot 18-under-par at that event in Verona, New York at the beginning of the month, good enough for the second-best 54-hole score in program history.

He would go on to finish third at the Rod Myers Invitational in Durham–with a score of 9-under-par–before ending the month in a tie for 17th place at the Olympia Fields Country Club Invitational.

Six of Burnett’s nine rounds in September were under par.
